The gym was full of excitement, laughter, and lots of great thinking for A.J. Elliott’s annual Family Math Night. The evening began with a family STEM challenge. This year, teams had to build a balloon powered car using the materials provided. All the teams worked hard on their designs, displaying fantastic craftsmanship in the short 20 minute build time. Next, the students and their families were off to all the different math stations. They collected stickers in their passport books at each station for a chance to enter the grand prize draw. Throughout the night there were door prizes to be won by every student as well as prizes for the 3 estimation jars.
