BC GREEN GAMES is a digital eco-storytelling contest designed to closely link with BC’s new curriculum while supporting teachers and promoting place-based environmental education. Our project-style contest offers teachers and students K-12 throughout the province a unique learning opportunity in inquiry-based exploration, environmental action, youth leadership and storytelling. Teams document and share their green stories, win prizes and celebrate their green achievements with other schools across the province!
ECOKIDS is a free, environmental education program that offers curriculum-linked materials and activities for Canadian elementary schools to engage in environmental action. The website is the centerpiece of the program, offering topical information about the environment through interactive, fun, educational games and activities that utilize participants’ willingness to learn.
RESOURCES FOR RETHINKING provides immediate access to more than 1000 quality classroom resources. Developed by Learning for a Sustainable Future, R4R.ca connects teachers to lesson plans, books, videos and other materials that explore the environmental, social and economic dimensions of important issues and events unfolding in our world today. R4R resources have been reviewed by experienced classroom teachers and matched to relevant curriculum outcomes for each province and territory.
