Early Learning Framework (ELF)

Preschools and Childcare Programs

The Vancouver Island North School District’s Early Learning Foundations (ELF) Program is an established partnership between the school district and local early learning (preschool and childcare) providers.

Consistent with the Ministry of Education’s on-going expansion of early learning programs in schools, including StrongStart and Ready, Set, Learn, the Early Learning Foundations program is designed to provide quality early learning opportunities for children in our community.

ELF programs are located on site or in close proximity to Vancouver Island North schools and support early childhood learning and support positive transitions to school.
