September 30 was Orange Shirt Day. The students and staff of SD85 honoured the Indigenous children who were sent away to residential schools in Canada by learning about the history of those schools, having discussions about it, decorating their own orange shirts and sharing the book, The Orange Shirt by Phyllis Webstad.
