The operating budget year starts on July 1 and ends on the following June 30. The Board of Education approves two budgets each year. The Annual Budget is approved prior to June 30 for the following fiscal year and is based on projections for enrollment, staffing, funding and other budgets. The Amended Annual Budget is approved by February 28 for the current fiscal year and is based on actual enrollment, staffing, funding and costs.
The Amended Annual Budget for 2011 - 2012 was approved by the Board at its February 13, 2012 public meeting. The Board of Education appreciates all of the input and comments on the budget that it received.
The Board continues to welcome your suggestions on ways that the school district can operate more efficiently. The Board of Education invited input on the preliminary 2012 – 2013 Operating Budget until April 7, 2012. This preliminary 2012 - 2013 budget was approved at the June 11, 2012 public meeting.
