SD85 Home Board of Education District Info Schools Departments Human Resources Policy Manual


All non-teaching employees and uncertified teachers on call must submit to a Criminal Record Check before they can commence work. An external agency undertakes the Criminal Record Review Program and the form for this purpose is available here

Volunteers (not in a paid position) at schools must complete the RCMP criminal record check process....see below. 

Please note - when completed, the form MUST be returned to Marilynn Salski at the School Board Office along with $20.00 by cheque or money order made payable to SD 85, or by cash. [
The instructions on the 2nd page of the form state "payable to the Minister of Finance", however SD85 cannot accept this method of payment.]  Please ensure that your cheque or money order is payable to SD 85.

Once the completed form is received at the School Board Office, it will be forwarded to Victoria for processing. It takes approximately two weeks to have the application processed.

INSTRUCTIONS: 
 

It is VERY IMPORTANT that the applicant use good handprinting when completing the form.
If it is hard to read, the form will not be processed and it will be returned.

The applicant must complete all of Part 1.
In Part 2-A, Section A, the organization name is School District 85.

In Part 2-B, the applicant
is required only to fill in the 'employment/position/job title' that they will be employed doing


Please ensure that the applicant
signs and dates the form under the  'Consent for Release of
Information and Acknowledgements'
.
 

The applicant does not complete any other sections of the form.

INFORMATION FOR VOLUNTEERS

Every person who wishes to volunteer in a school must obtain a criminal record check completed by the local R.C.M.P. This document must be provided to each school where the person wishes to volunteer.
