Cultural Celebrations in Alert Bay….

Cultural Celebrations for Alert Bay Elementary School was held Friday, June 2, 2017 at ‘Namgis Big House in Alert Bay.  The “Namgis Big House was full with family, friends and guests from other communities with approximately 60 of our students participating.   “Our students made us proud once again” said Jen Turner, Principal, Alert Bay Elementary School.

SD85 Annual Track Meet at PHSS…….

On Wednesday, June 7, 2017 the School District No. 85 (Vancouver Island North) Annual Track Meet was held at Port Hardy Secondary School in Port Hardy.  There were 12 schools including SD 84 Gold River/ Tahsis, Gwa’Sala-‘Nakwaxda’xw, Avalon Advent Academy, Wagalus, K’ak’ot’lats’i, and T’Lisalagi’Lakw and approximately 240 participants competing for the top school trophies and ribbons.
